What is wireless guitar system?

A wireless guitar system connect guitar and amplifier/mixer over local radio channel. As rule, the system consists 2 modules. Transmitter is inserted into the RCA guitar output. Receiver is inserted into amplifier. For some systems both modules may be compact and use battery power.

The system transfers analog audio signal coded into digital data. It is not MIDI messages.

This type of system is ideal for live performances. It eliminates the need for long cables and allows the player to move freely. A guitarist plays without the need for cables. They can be cumbersome and potentially hazardous. Finally, wire-free connection can help reduce interference issue. But, the radio channel may cause own interference.
